Bio

Shane Chambless began his academic journey at Whitehouse High School before attending the University of Texas at Tyler. He is currently furthering his education online at Dallas Baptist University. His passion for education was sparked by the influence of several teachers and coaches during his high school years, who inspired him to pursue a career in the field. Shane’s natural talent in math during high school led him to tutor in college, where he discovered a deep enjoyment in helping students grasp challenging mathematical concepts.

With 18 years of experience in education, Shane is now in his first year at Frankston, continuing to make an impact as a math teacher. His favorite moment as an educator came when seniors at his previous school wrote thank-you letters to teachers who had influenced them throughout high school—he was honored to receive several letters, a testament to his dedication. Shane is motivated by students who put in the effort to master difficult subjects, and he credits Mr. Cooper, his high school precalculus and calculus teacher, as a role model.

Outside of teaching, Shane enjoys a variety of hobbies, including basketball, fishing, gardening, and exploring new foods. A fun fact about him is that he once bowled an impressive score of 278, though he has yet to match that score since. His love for working with students and his dedication to the profession continue to fuel his commitment to teaching.
