Jenny Kennedy
Teacher
Bio
Jenny Kennedy attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where she discovered her passion for education. She chose to pursue teaching because she wanted to bring excitement and engagement to the high school classroom, making learning enjoyable in a way that she felt was missing from her own high school experience. Now in her fifth year at Frankston and sixth year overall in education, Jenny continues to inspire her students, particularly in language arts, a subject she has always loved. Her focus on literary analysis allows her to help students see the world through different perspectives.
Jenny's favorite moments as an educator are too numerous to count, from sharing laughter with her students to being honored as Teacher of the Year. She finds joy in helping her students succeed, whether it's passing their STAAR tests or creating a safe and fun learning environment. Jenny describes herself as an "extroverted introvert," and her classroom is known as a place where students can feel comfortable being themselves.
Outside the classroom, Jenny enjoys reading, playing video games, traveling, and spending time with her two dogs. She is deeply motivated by her desire to connect with students and make her class a memorable experience. Influenced by role models like Linda Love, her own elementary school teacher, and iconic fictional educators like Professor McGonagall and Mr. Keating, Jenny strives to make each day in the classroom an adventure for her students, and maybe even a little magical.
