Hunter Mewbourn
Teacher
Bio
Hunter Mewbourn is a proud alumnus of Frankston ISD, where he grew up and discovered his passion for welding. Influenced by the guidance of his high school agriculture teacher, Danny Foster, Hunter pursued a career in welding before entering the field of education and is now in his third year of teaching. As a welding instructor, he hopes to inspire his students to find the same passion and potentially build successful careers in the field.
Hunter’s favorite moments as an educator come from participating in agricultural mechanics shows, where students can showcase their skills and creativity. He enjoys the challenge of working on ag mechanics projects, and he finds great satisfaction in seeing his students develop their abilities and take pride in their work. His motivation stems from his desire to pass on the same support and inspiration he received from his own teacher.
Outside of teaching, Hunter’s hobbies include welding, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. These activities allow him to stay connected to his roots while balancing the demands of his career in education. Hunter’s journey from a student in Frankston to a teacher in the same community highlights his dedication to giving back and helping shape the future of his students and community.
