High School Principal

Bio
Principal Edgar Rodriguez is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience in the field, currently serving as the principal at Frankston High School for the past 8 years. A graduate of John Tyler High School, Texas A&M University, and UT Tyler, he was inspired to enter education with the goal of providing students with the resources and support they need to succeed. His decision to teach Spanish stemmed from a desire to enhance English literacy for non-Spanish speakers while also using the language to teach math to non-English speaking students, showcasing his commitment to student development across multiple subjects.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rodriguez has remained deeply motivated by witnessing student success, both in and out of the classroom. He believes academics are important, but what he loves most is seeing well-rounded students graduate and thrive. His favorite moments as an educator come when his students achieve their goals, a testament to his passion for helping them reach their full potential. He credits Coach Powell, his own teacher role model, for teaching him the importance of fairness, accountability, and consistency in education.
Outside of his role as principal, Mr. Rodriguez has a variety of hobbies that reflect his diverse interests, including auto mechanics, farming, and sports. He also has a fun side, as demonstrated by his collection of Jordan sneakers. His love for education and student success continues to be the driving force behind his career, pushing him to make a lasting impact on his students at Frankston High School.
