Coach Alec Wofford, a native of Athens, TX, has dedicated 40 years to education as of the 2024-2025 school year. After graduating from Athens ISD, he earned his degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Throughout his career, he has coached middle and high school football, currently serving as the Defensive Coordinator, and leads as the Head Track Coach at Frankston ISD. His decades of experience and passion for coaching have shaped the lives of many students and athletes.

In the classroom, Coach Wofford teaches freshman world history, where he encourages students to explore the past to gain a better understanding of the present and future. He emphasizes the importance of learning from history so that students can make informed decisions as they grow into adulthood. His teaching style is engaging, and his ability to connect historical lessons to real-life applications has made a lasting impact on students.

Coach Wofford is best known for his "Woffordisms," a collection of clever sayings and stories that offer practical life advice with a dash of humor. These unique tokens of wisdom are often remembered by his students long after they leave his class or the field, offering guidance they carry with them throughout life.
